A) received excellent Pre Sales & Service from your dealer, Martha at Electel. B) Then 10 days before delivery I received a positive call from a polite young lady who ran through the complete scope of the order. To say I was appreciative was an understatement. Wished more companies had your service commitment / DNA. C) Then a day before delivery I received a polite phone call from a truck driver who introduced himself as your driver and ran through the logistics / offloading etc. Said he couldn’t give me an exact time but would ring me in morning to advise exact ETA. I have never met a truck driver who was so organised. All of the above culminated in to me being blown away with Polymaster’s outstanding customer service. Are polyethylene tanks suitable for holding diesel?

Most polyethylene tanks are suitable for holding diesel. Generally, it is how and where the diesel will be stored that determines what configuration of tank/s is used. The Australian Standard 1940 outlines what the requirements are. Above are all of our polyethylene diesel tanks for sale.

What do I do if I need a Chemical tank or Diesel/AdBlue tank delivery?

Every industrial tank is different. Contact the industrial team to ask questions about your delivery.

What is the warranty for diesel ute packs?

Our diesel ute packs have various components, all of which have a different warranty period.

The tank – 5 years warranty from the date of purchase
The hose – 3 months warranty from the date of purchase
The nozzle – 3 months warranty from the date of purchase
The pump –12 months warranty from the date of purchase

What chemicals can be stored in your tanks?

There are over 1,935 chemicals that can be stored within a Polymaster tank, these include diesel, AdBlue, liquid fertiliser and many more. Our tanks are manufactured using Polyethylene (PE), which has great chemical resistance to most chemicals. They are suitable for a large variety of applications. Specific consultation and compliance/suitability of chemicals can be confirmed by our technical engineering team.

Can diesel be stored in a poly tank?

Yes. Polymasters’ poly diesel tanks are specifically designed for fuel storage, using UV-stabilised, diesel-grade polyethylene that resists corrosion, contamination, and weathering in harsh Australian conditions.

Which is better between poly or steel fuel tanks?

Poly diesel tanks are lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and cost-effective compared to steel, making them ideal for farms, fleets, and remote sites. Steel remains preferred for some very large-capacity or underground installations, but poly is often the more practical and affordable choice.

How long do poly fuel tanks last?

With proper care and installation, Polymasters poly diesel tanks can last decades. They are designed to withstand UV exposure and resist rust, providing a reliable long-term solution.

What accessories are available with Polymaster’s diesel tanks?

Polymaster offers a range of accessories, including pumps, flow meters, hoses, filters, and lockable lids. These improve security, accuracy, and ease of fuel dispensing for fleets and farm equipment.

Can you store diesel for 5 years?

Diesel naturally degrades over time, and storage longer than 12–18 months requires fuel stabilisers and maintenance to prevent algae growth or contamination. A high-quality Polymaster tank, paired with proper care, can help extend storage life.
